Real estate investors usually have cash or lines of credit that they can use to buy houses
Charleston Home Buyers – SCHomeBuyers.net You have decided to sell your house. It may have been due to the current economic trends or just because you wish to move to a bigger or smaller house. Perhaps you are moving out of the area and want to sell your house instead of hassling with renters. Whatever your reason, if you have time to sell and are not in a hurry, you can sell it yourself or go with the traditional way.
If you must sell in a hurry or just don’t want the headaches associated with selling a home, you can contact a real estate investor and ask for an offer. You are never under any obligation to take them up on their offers, but at least you’ll know another good option for a fast sale. Real estate investors usually have cash or lines of credit that they can use to buy houses and they buy them in any condition so you can get the house sold fast. It usually takes a week or so depending on the details.
If you do decide to sell the house yourself you’ll want to make improvements and repairs on the house. Fix everything that’s obvious and then make some improvements. Before you do any major remodeling, though, do some homework and ask around to see what Realtors in the area would consider good remodels to make.
Improvements like decks and kitchen counters are usually a good value for your investment, but perhaps a new swimming pool would be a waste of money as you won’t necessarily get that much additional for the house when you sell it. Fixing windows by putting in thermal panes can help, but adding other improvements may not be such a good idea.

Don’t lie to buyers or anyone about your property’s negative features. Flaws should be disclosed and in some areas it is the law. Repairing the leaky roof is ok as long as you disclose it. The new owner will need to know that at some point he’ll have to replace the roof. The flaws are part of the bargaining process and will help determine the value of the house for both the seller and the buyer.
If you decide that you would not like to repair, remodel, or wait to sell the house, a call to an investor may be a phone call you want to make. You’ll find out just how much you can get for the house as it is. Then you can decide whether it’s worth fixing up or not.
